I can’t say enough good things about Language Transfer. It’s a remarkable system, and the teacher’s knowledge of the etymology of words is inspiring. I love the way he’s able to create cues for not just remembering what a Spanish word means, but for starting with the English word and figuring out what a Spanish word might be.
I’m going to broaden my scope a little here though, and talk about a couple of fun podcasts I’ve been listening to.
- The Fluent Show is about the general topic of language learning, rather than a guide to a specific language. I see that show has two hosts now, but I’m starting back at the beginning, when it was just Kerstin Cable. Lots of fascinating discussions about language learning and lots of good tips and pointers to resources.
- Lingthusiasm is a podcast that’s “enthusiastic about linguistics.” The hosts are both linguists and they are a lot of fun.
At some point I may create a static page or two listing some of the creators I enjoy and causes I support, just to spread the love.
